A history of bicycles
The resort of Châtel is closely linked to the Tour de France:
- In 1975, Châtel was the stage town for the Morzine-Châtel time trial.
- In 1988, the Tour de France passed through Châtel on the Besançon - Morzine stage.
- In 2022, Châtel will host the finish of the 9th stage of the Tour de France, starting from Aigle (CH).
