Châtel Cultural and Tourist Centre


    A new building now stands in the centre of the village of Châtel: the Châtel Cultural and Tourist Centre. Blending seamlessly into the local architecture, this new space, built of stone and timber, reflects the simplicity of the barns in the Abondance Valley. Opened in July 2026, it will now house Châtel Tourisme, the resort’s tourist information office, a performance hall and a seminar room.

     


    2,000 m² dedicated to culture and community engagement

    The new Châtel Cultural Centre is a multi-purpose venue designed to host cultural events as well as community, local and tourist events. 
     

    A versatile auditorium

    Several layout options are available, allowing for the organisation of a wide variety of events!
    • A versatile, professional auditorium: up to 250 seats in tiered seating, 600 standing places with the tiers folded away, fully equipped sound and lighting systems
    • Weddings or receptions: up to 200 seats with a dance floor
    • Public meetings, bingo nights, conferences: up to 250 seats 
    • Fully equipped kitchen (food warmers, ovens, fridges, freezers, washing facilities)

    A Meeting Room

    The Châtel Cultural Center also features a meeting room, separate from the auditorium. It can accommodate up to 90 people standing or 60 seated. Fully equipped for your seminars, it also features a videoconferencing system to facilitate remote communication.
