How to book your chalet in Châtel ?

Rent your chalet via the official accommodation provider for the Châtel resort! In just a few clicks, you can easily find the chalets available for your dates of stay, consult the reviews of our previous tenants and add your ski passes to the basket. To confirm your booking, you will be asked to pay a deposit of 25% of the rental price, with the balance due no later than 30 days before the start of your stay. Need time to think? Once your stay has been confirmed, you will receive your rental contract with the contact details of the chalet owner or his local representative. At any time, up to one week before your arrival, you can add your activities and services to your file by taking advantage of our customer discounts: ski or mountain bike passes, ski equipment hire, Forme d'O aquatic centre passes.
What is the difference between renting from a private owner and renting through an agency?
Châtel Réservation is not a estate agency but a booking platform, offering chalets and apartments managed either by estate agencies or directly by private owners. You can also filter accommodation by management type to view only private chalets.
The main difference lies in who you deal with: either the owner or their representative (the caretaker) directly, or the rental agency. In any case, Châtel Réservation is based in Châtel to support you throughout your holiday!

Of course! In Châtel, some estate agents specialise in letting luxury properties with catering, cleaning and linen hire services. However, many privately owned chalets also offer these premium services and feature modern amenities and wellness facilities, such as a hot tub, sauna or private swimming pool.

Is it safe to book via the Châtel Réservation website?

The Châtel Réservation website offers a 100% secure online booking solution, payable by credit card or linked holiday vouchers*. You can pay in instalments at no extra cost, and in several different ways for a single booking. This is, in fact, the official accommodation booking platform for the resort of Châtel. We have been based here for over 20 years and are partners of the Châtel Tourist Office and the Châtel Ski Lift Company.
* Payment by cheque or bank transfer is also possible! In this case, please contact us; we will place a hold on your booking until payment is received. 

Are there any additional charges when booking via the Châtel Réservation website?

In addition to the rental price shown on the Châtel Réservation website, the following apply:

• Tourist tax 
• Cleaning fees, and the cost of bed linen and/or towels if these are not included
• Châtel Réservation’s booking fee of €20*
• Cancellation insurance (optional)

* 2026–2027 rates: €20 per booking

Are private chalets available all year round?

All accommodation offered by Châtel Réservation is available to rent all year round, including private owner chalets. Outside the winter and summer seasons, it is not uncommon to offer rentals for weekends or special events (hen parties, birthdays, family reunions, etc.). Please contact us!

Is it easy to contact the owner or the manager?

When booking a holiday rental through Châtel Réservation, once your stay is confirmed (i.e. the deposit has been paid), you will receive an email containing your voucher with the contact details of the owner or their on-site representative (manager, caretaker, estate agent). If you are unable to contact them on the day of arrival (poor signal, exceptional unavailability, etc.), don’t panic!
