Châtel will host the UCI 2027 Gravel World Championships!
Gravel – meaning ‘gravel’ in English – is a hybrid discipline, combining elements of road cycling and mountain biking.
It is practised on unpaved surfaces: dirt tracks, gravel roads and trails. This new discipline emerged in the Midwestern United States around fifteen years ago. Since then, it has grown in popularity and is now a global phenomenon! Ideal for cyclists seeking new challenges, gravel cycling combines elements of road cycling and mountain biking.
